Candace is a graduate of Alcorn State University and Kennesaw State University. She taught secondary English in Mississippi and Georgia before becoming an Education Consultant. Candace has served as a consultant for the past seven years. Although her love for helping students and teachers achieve academic success has been at the forefront of her career, she is never too far away from her first love, which is writing beautiful realities and transparent narratives.
Candace is known among her group of peers for always lending an encouraging word, or helping to map out a plan for family, friends and colleagues. Her positive outlook on life has garnered her opportunities and connections in various parts of the world. As an instructional coach and entrepreneur, she is constantly being challenged with the task of bringing out the best in others (and herself) and pushing them past their comfort zone. Candace decided to briefly steer away from her love of fictional writing to pen a collection of honest thoughts to the thirty-something woman. Using personal experiences and societal norms, Candace tackles what it truly means to be a thirty year old woman in the book, This is 30.
